Love Breaks Through ALL

Today, I want to share just a simple thought with you: Love breaks through all.

You might be asking yourself “with all the hopelessness and depression surrounding us nowadays, how can love break through all of that?

I don’t know about you, but I feel like love is about to break through soon. I truly feel that there’s a REVIVAL coming to this land, but before our land can be revived, our hearts have to be revived. We need to be revived in love, patience, and kindness. How do we do that?

Well, first and foremost, we turn to God and pray to Him, asking Him to full us with those very things: love, patience, and kindness.

Have you prayed those things before?

Maybe you haven’t. Maybe you’re thinking to yourself “I used to be a Christian and used to have a relationship with God, but that just wasn’t for me”. What do you have to lose by giving it another try?  What do you have to lose by just throwing up your hands and saying “God, I am not in control of this situation” (because I think we can all agree that we’re not in control).

“God, I’m not in control of this relationship. I’m not control of my health. I’m not in control of anything, but you are God. You’re in control of all things. So, show yourself to me!”

What do you have to lose in asking that question today?

The answer is nothing. But if He is real? If He really is in control? You have everything to lose.

So my challenge is this: reach out to someone in love today. The Bible says that God is love, and love changes everything. One kind act can change the atmosphere. Love can change the trajectory of the world we are living in today! Love has POWER.

If you are a Christian, then you should be living like you’re forgiven. You should be living like the mercy and the grace of God has completely redeemed you, so why not offer a little bit of that love and mercy to others?

You know, one time I had a fourth grader come up to me when I was working in a school. He brought his tablet to me to show me that it wasn’t working correctly. If you know me, I am not tech savvy, so I honestly wasn’t sure how to get it working again. I tried pushing buttons and messing around with it, but nothing seemed to make it work again.

Suddenly, I remembered a time when my phone wasn’t working and my husband (the tech savvy one in the family) asked me “when’s the last time you turned your device off?”

I turned the fourth grader’s tablet off and turned it back on again and, wouldn’t you know, it completely reset the tablet and it worked again!

Sometimes we really just overcomplicate things.

We don’t spread the mercy and grace of God because, to us, it’s “too hard” or there’s “reasons” why we should reach out to certain people in our lives. Maybe they hurt you? Maybe they’ve not received your kindness in the past.

Don’t overcomplicate it! Hit that reset button TODAY and spread love and kindness!

All that said, I have a challenge for you!

My challenge is simply this: Reach out! It could be an email, a text message, a phone call, a letter in the mail, an e-card, or something creative! Whichever form you choose, be sure to pray about who God would have you reach out to.

Send this blog to six people you know. How much love could we spread across this globe today alone if we reminded just six people that “love breaks through”?

Let’s find out!

Blessings,

Teri
